   Yes.  And Howard's technique is to ignore the history of this conflict completely when trying to defend the barbaric behaviour of Israel and the U.S.  Defending Israel's orgy of killing and destruction in Lebanon, the old prevaricator whined that Herzbollah kidnapped two Israeli soldiers as though that was all there was to it. 

   I'm inclined to wonder whether Israel can ever live in a state of peace with their neighbours.  The culture now may have a paranoid fear of others so deeply ingrained that the nation would be unable to operate in peace, a bit like the U.S. after the cold war but much more so.

   In any case, if Israel continues on their current course they will eventually destroy themselves, probably with a lot of others.

   I believe his statements on 4-Corners were nothing like his "confessions" in the torture chambers.
