Basic difference:
Carbon cycle is millions of years (unless you burn fast renewable
forms like trees and other plants - that isn't a really good solution
for CO2 or other particulate polution) and Water cycle is maybe
hundreds of days.
Water is like land. They ain't making any more of it. And the other
absolute aspect of water is that it is like air, without it you die.
We can do without carbon, except for economic systems reasons. We
cannot exist without water and air.
I'm just hearing a caller to ABC radio that Melton, Vic is using
drinking water for road construction!!! How nuts is that?!
