Yeah, right. I tried this re the reporting of attempts at money
laundering phishing, including writing to Ellison (Justice and
Customs Minister) and Coonan (Communications Minister) as well as the
AFP and AUSCert. The only one with any decent answer was AUSCert. AFP
said go to their website to report things like this (they're
dreaming, as there is pretty much only advice (if you can find your
way to it in an hour) about not replying to these sorts of emails -
d'oh, ya think?), and I actually got a proper paper letter from
Ellison saying that AFP and their High Tech Crime Centre had provided
me with appropriate advice. I don't think so.

But to tell you the truth, I'm out of energy trying to help them do
their fricking jobs. I even sent them the whois info about who was
doing it! But no, they're never actually going to get off their butts
and prosecute anyone. They may have to stop being run by public
information officers if that were the case. I'm probably ranting more
than I honestly feel here, but you got to admit, they really do NOT
want to know.

PS: I still have my We$tpac security token. I forgot to give it back
when I closed my account out of protest for their fees and charges a
few months ago. I doubt they track them as I've never had a request
to return it. I wonder what's inside? hee hee
