0_o The mind fairly boggles. One assumes that the researchers have determined that the same molecules that protect these microorganisms from volcanic heat and corrosive chemicals, and from stray Siberian ox-carts, also reflect or absorb electromagnetic radiation at cell phone frequencies.

That raises at least four questions that I can think of:

- What evolutionary advantage was conferred to these little critters in the dim dark past by being able to deal with cell phone radiation?

- If the radiation is absorbed, what's it converted into? 

- If the radiation is reflected, what effect does it have on transmission/reception and on other people towards whom it's reflected?

- Is it as effective as anti-ageing cream?
