What I meant  was the increased need to swap in and out of RAM because
of insufficient RAM....

I'm impressed...the 1997 NEC clock battery was well and truly dead by
Jan 2004.

I recall the Toshibas being the laptop recommended for journalists use
at the ABC back in about 1988 - seems like it was a good call!

I should also confess to recommending the use of MSOffice across the ABC
about the same time :-(
