Just looked up my files, I registered a .org.au domain name...in 2001...
It was surprisingly straight forward. I say surprisingly because at the
time, there
seemed to be the same mystique Craig refers to about obtaining one...but it
all seemed pretty transparent when I got down to it. And though the
document said it may take two weeks..I recall it was done in a couple of
days.
Note, I did provide all the information on the application and there was
also already a webspace for the organisation.
