[LINK] Optus launches mobile film competition

Actually there is a daily Mobile Soap you can subscribe to on the 3 
network.  I watched a couple of the free episodes and was pretty 
disappointed, but then as a film maker, I have certain expectations, even 
form a soap/tv concept.

I think the story concepts being delivered are disappointing, setting aide 
the obvious issue of screen size and production qualities.

If anything, making material for a small screen of that nature is less 
costly than the big screen.  Detail and art can be reduced in cost quite 
dramatically.

Mind you, apparently Big Brother streaming was very popular on Mobile 
phones.  So people do want to watch stuff on their phones.

And the volume of movie trailers downloaded and watched on mobile phones is 
huge.
