I have heard good reports about Internode itself.

I just churned in early March to a new provider fo ADSL2. They use
the Optus backbone.

Intermittently, for days on end, since March 6, the bandwidth has
dropped to 10 KB/s per TCP connection and rigidly stayed there. I
suspected shaping, but now suspect massive packet loss.

Some traces I did returned packets after 1.2 seconds :-(

The thing is, I signed up for a year, and now would have to pay $100
to break the contract. I wonder if I am within my rights to simply
churn, not pay breakage fee and wish them a not so fond goodbye?
(I suspect their problems are because of Optus, but, hey, that's
not my problem!)
