I watched that and kept laughing during the "Training" phase about Australia.
I have NEVER in my life had anyone call me on the phone and say "G'day
mate, how ya going" EVER!
If someone did I'd think it was Russell Crowe!
My gawd, did you see some of the crap they were "teaching".
Oh and the picture of the beach they were suppose to guess as Bondi, was in
fact a picture of the Gold Coast!
That was SO funny!
I'd love to get a copy of the program just for the sake of laughing!
Mind you, I have to admit, '3' send their support and customer calls to
India and I've never had anything but a pleasant experience. None of the
operators have EVER tries to impress upon me they aren't in India. They
must have two centres in different parts, because one is apparently near
the beach and another looks at some mountains.
Whist they operators are waiting for answers to my always most challenging
questions, we chat about culture and differences. I even got a recipe for
an Indian specialty dish once :)
I guess it depends on the attitude of the service provider. '3' don't try
and hide behind false hoods. I appreciate that. Even when asking what an
operators name is, they always give me an Indian name. Unlike in that Doco
where they have their "American" or "Australian" name. Mind you some of
those Indian names are a right pain to spell! But it's fun learning to
pronounce them!
There was one other service that transferred me to an Indian call centre, I
reported this to link some years ago. Not only was I mislead about where I
was connected to, but they tried to bluff with all the "slang" and
geographical stuff they had been taught.
Of course it fell flat because it was just plain wrong.
And for a bit of fun, a Director in Belgium sent this to me the other day:

I'm sure you'll all enjoy it! I was horrorfied!
