* (HWG) ninemsn extends decade-long deal with Hostworks  26-Jun-2007

Ninemsn signed a new application management agreement with Hostworks that extends a decade-long relationship. The three-year agreement, with a three-year extension option, re-signs Hostworks to provide the guaranteed availability of more than 130 websites accessible through the ninemsn web portal. Hostworks will enable ninemsn to introduce new technologies including data acceleration and a technology roadmap to cope with record growth

* IMI) National rollout passes new milestone 26-Jun-2007

The national rollout of IM Medical’s Intelliheart system continues to gather pace, with more than 100 medical clinics now in the network. The achievement comes as the company says it has conducted more than 13,000 billable procedures for the financial year to date.

* (FRE) Freshtel plans for mobile internet phone launch  25-Jun-2007

Freshtel Holdings intends to enter into a strategic partnership with Effortel, a European Mobile Virtual Network Enabler. Effortel and Freshtel plan to establish an alliance agreement to offer both the Freshtel white label service and a collectively managed converged mobile service, which will allow customers to make calls over the internet using their mobile phone. 

* AUN) AUSTAR and Nortel Working to Deliver World-class WiMAX for Regional Australians 21-Jun-2007

AUSTAR United broadband has selected Nortel as the preferred vendor for its proposed WiMAX network in regional Australia. AUSTAR and Nortel arrangements are subject to final negotiations. The WiMAX network would provide regional Australians with a real alternative for local access services, delivering true broadband speeds at comparatively low costs to regional residential and business customers, many of whom cannot currently access the Internet at speeds over 256kbps.

* (SEN) Senetas appoints Quantum Crypto partner IdQuantique as a reseller for CypherNet  20-Jun-2007

Senetas Corporation Limited has appointed id Quantique SA, as a reseller for its range of CypherNet high speed network encryption products, after completed development of unique hybrid quantum cryptography solution. The hybrid is now undergoing customer testing in Europe with product launch expected in six months.
