RIMs are not all that bad - I'm 8M/384k on a RIM in Dunlop.  At 600m 
from the RIM to the termination point, and fibre from the RIM to Melba 
exchange, it is *very* reliable....  That said, it took a lot of 
pestering and a lodged complaint before they got their backsides into 
gear, but it's all working now.
