hi Howard,

yes, i'm a green, and a know a few others on Link, and a couple of Labor
types, maybe a Democrat or two, even.

we are on top of this and appalled by it,  but if you really want to get
depressed you should see the incredibly long list of totally evil things
being done by this government, and the totally silence when we ask about
them ... the mass media are unkind at best, feral at worst, but prefer
silence above all on questions for which their masters have no answers
that would not get them torn to bloody ribbons by the citizenry.

there is only one answer, unfortunately slow, but if you create an
organisation based on social justice, environmental & economic
sustainability, peace & non violence, and grass roots democracy, then
get involved in your community, and build a local following, get a few
councilors, and a soundbite or two, and gradually you can put items onto
the society's radar ...

... oh wait, we did that!  we call ourselves The Greens, and no, we
aren't offering free drugs to kiddies, threatening peoples' jobs, or
starting bushfires ;)
