[LINK] Dot Asia a good idea?

It's been a long-running story - I sat beside the primary player at a 
lunch in Hong Kong about 4 years ago.  He wasn't very convincing as 
to why it was needed or appropriate.

On the other hand, one way to squelch silly fights over domain-name 
space is to make sure there's plenty of it.
