Since Google News can't find it either, it may be that Aus IT hasn't
posted the story to its Website. That may be a restriction on what
they're allowed to do with syndication from the Financial Times. Plenty
of other stories on the collapse of the proposals, though.
Funny, isn't it? Australia ... NSW in particular ... is still stuck at
the relentless chearleading stage for similar proposals. What reception
would the NSW government get if it shelved its Sydney citywide WiFi
network plans?
It's also worth remembering that press and bloggers frequently treated
this service as something they already had in San Francisco, rather than
as something which was on the RSN list...
