YOu make an interesting point here:

If Joe Sixpack says "My kids' sports club has banned cameras because
of creeps, but Google can do what it likes. How is that fair?" it's
hard to come up with a response. Telling him "it's not fair, get over
it" makes the commentator sound just as arrogant as Google.

So what if all the mums and dads in the world complain to their local
councils and schoosl that GOOGLE was able to take photos and they
don't want their kids published on the net.

And complain tot Google as well.

There is more than just 'a creep' reason for preventing people taking
photos of school event.

Many Children are under Protection Orders. Be it by Government
sometimes questionable Child Protection from biological parents, or
by Court orders of the Family Court.

You can bet there will be many an Alienated Parent right now
scrounging through Google Street views for a glimpse of their missing
child - worse they MIGHT THINK they see their CHILD when in fact it's
someone else, and ... the kidnapping of that child might well happen
before Alienated Parent realises its' not their child.

I can see that in the Criminal Courts "I Plead Google Street View
Made Me Do It" and you know what - it might well stand.

Parents should be writing in asking for "EVERY PICTURE THAT DEPICTS A
CHILD WHICH MIGHT BE MY CHILD" be removed from Google Street View.

Forget the Creeps taking a photo and going home to have a w*nk, cause
rarely do these fantasisers ever get past hiding in the shadows.

It's the people who should NOT have access to children that are of concern.

Right now I'm scrounging through all the places we've been since I
saw the first Street View car taking photos to ensure that my car, my
family and my children are not in any image.

Cause the last thing I want is my p'rents knowing were we have been,
are or might be.
