I have just churned from Internode to Telstra Bigpond and a 'Ultimate Homeline and Broadband Bundle' for $109.95/Mth as can be seen on the Whirlpool FAQ and that sadly you can only get this offer if Telstra approaches you, you can't ring up and ask for the plan.

Free Local Calls, Free STD Calls, Mobile & International are extra charges for phone, internet is 25GB ADSL2+ Liberty Plan.

No, you can't. You used to be able to, but Telstra stopped it late last
year (from memory - might have been this year). All existing customers were
grandfathered so were allowed to keep their existing setup.

Or if anyone has pointers on how to minimise the cost of a phone line from

If you can get it Naked DSL + VOIP works fine with the expected
limitations. Otherwise you're pretty much out of luck.

  Scott.
