How many people now think like I do that Conroy is going through the
motions to appease family first, amassing technical and public opinion
which will then demonstrate to the good parliamentarians that pursuing
an expensive, ineffective strategy is indeed a 'bad thing' to do,
particularly in this difficult economic environment.

Of course if politicians were like the rest of us, they'd have come up
with an viable alternative like supporting educators and protectors of
children (ie parent and teachers) in their supervision of their charges
which IMHO would be a 'good thing' to do. Gee had the former government
done that 10 years ago, as we all suggested they do, perhaps we wouldn't
be having this situation today!
