... and (c.f. my other post) that American companies see themselves as
able to copyright, patent, or trademark anything on earth, I think it
would be more than past time for a push-back from the rest of the world...

"Security" people - I don't mean "those with expertise", I mean "those
whose exclusive focus is security" tend to be reductionist in their
thinking. No liberty is too big to be trampled in the name of security.
Privacy? Forget it, fella, we're snooping to protect you.
