I had a small class of federal public servants working quite happily
on Linux within a few minutes. They were using Firefox instead of
Internet Explorer. But because they spent most of their time using a
web based application (Moodle) it didn't look unfamiliar to them:

What I expect I will see is a change in attitude, where the computer
goes from being an expensive machine which needs constant effort to
keep working like an old car, to something inexpensive and reliable,
like a telephone handset. The computer is just a gateway to the
applications and data which like on the 'net.
