So how do we get the government to take a deep, long breath and start
dousing the moral panic instead of inflaming it?

A government that is running around like a chook with its head cut-off
is no use to me and is of no use to children that are currently being
subject to sexual abuse.

Why does anyone think that hysterical, ineffective inaction serves a
useful purpose?
