I'd say it worked pretty well for ten years.
Opposition - coherent, implacable and focussed opposition, firmly
grounded in reality rather than ideology - is a pretty good remedy
against many kinds of foolishness.
Like worming tablets, though, the remedy must be repeated at intervals.
Seems like it's time for another dose.

Sometimes, there are things you need to oppose in toto.
This filtering plan is wrong. It cannot work technically, it is a
massive affront to long-established civil liberties, it will reduce the
utility of the Internet, and it will not achieve *any part* of its
stated aims. Which of those things should we not oppose, for goodness'
sake?
This foolish, foolish, foolish scheme is a pile of dog droppings. It has
been treated in this forum and many others with FAR more respect than it
deserves.
