Thanks Jan - I didn't see that High Court Ruling - That's great news.
And Im glad to see that Telstra will finally crank up the speed of their
currentely throttled bandwidth wireless and cable service offerings.
Isnt it onderful what a little threat of competition can do....
It strikes me that the ACCC are there exactly for this kind of
anti-competitive activity.
If the US Justice Department could go after Microsoft for
anti-competitive Monopolistic activity - then isnt it about time we
broke the back of the 600 pound gorilla by replicating a similar class
action against Telstra in Australia.
BTW boys and girls it only takes 8 Telstra customers to start a class
action.
Is anyone feeling lucky ?
The last three times I took on Telstra in the Federal court - it was a
win for Tom (Section 52G - Trade Practices).
Im not sure we could win a class action on misleading and deceptive
practices on a Monopolistic basis.

So who does own the wires? And if it's the govt or the property owner
[I guess it depends on which wires], why doesn't Telstra assume a
cost of using them? I'm confused by this para.
