in my experience, there's little or no point in providing feedback or
suggestions to such developers. at best, they'll ignore it. at worst,
they'll react defensively against even a suggestion that their work is
less than perfect and make it even more bloated and clumsy to use.
mostly, though, they just won't understand what you're talking about
because they don't know any technical details or even how the web works,
they just use the standard crappy bloatware web publishing applications
that let them draw pretty pictures and animations.
it's not even that they think that uploading 1MB jpegs is OK rather than
small web-optimised GIF or PNG versions of the same image - it's that
they don't think of it AT ALL because it would never occur to them that
there is anything to think about. have picture, point, click, upload.
