Actually, when Adrian asked that, I racked my brain and couldn't come 
up with anything formal. There were heaps of treaties between the US 
govt and various Native American tribes, but most were broken by the US.

very interesting analysis because it deals with generations and the 
breaking of the treaties. Treaties generally dealt with land.

I'm striking out finding much. There seem to have been some 
agreements with a few tribes, but nothing like Canada.
