But is there an alternative?

Unless there are two or more organisation providing a similar service/product it
is difficult to see the competition model/tendering working.

Ofcourse, one of the benefits of globalisation particularly in the e-business is
that we don't need to replicate what is being done elsewhere with a
local organisation.
