Excellent item very professionally presented item about "AARNet's
astronomical bandwidth" <http://itradio.com.au/networking/?p=59>.
I suggest dropping the "A Series of Tubes" title for something more
informative. A comment from a US Republican Senator does not make for
a good technology show title <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Series_of_tubes>.
Had I come across this "tubes" title in a search I would not have
clicked on it. Had I come across the podcast I would have stopped
listening as soon as I heard the noisy "tubes" introduction, before
hearing your melodious tones.
Also I could have done with links to more content on the topic, even
it if was to ads. Perhaps you could ad some Amazon.com ads? This
would automatically add images and links to books and products;
making you some money and livening up the web page.
One question I have is if anybody listens to such podcasts? When
overseas recently I found it rush into the cybercafe and download
enough digital audio from the ABC and BBC to keep me occupied on a
eight hour ferry ride. But this was material derived from radio
programs. Has it reached a point where podcasts are a medium in their
own right or are they derivatives of radio?
