I too had not heard about the senator and his ignorant remarks, so I would
have skipped the title. While I like to think I am fairly up to date with
"everything" on the Net, I am not. :-)

Some people do, but my MP3 player software downloads my subscribed podcasts
faithfully and some poor sod thinks that thousands of people listen to him.
I rarely get time to listen to the podcasts and they just get overwritten.

I don't have the patience to let the podcast presenter waffle on before
getting to the main points. With online/printed text I can skim until I find
something of interest. For me, podcasts from the BBC or CNN News are fine,
but opinion pieces test my patience.
