au contraire, mon ami. FF3 is faster than FF2. I refuse to use IE, so 
the comparison with IE is moot. Main reason for the increased speed: 
FF3 improved memory leakage/non-release problems. I like it. This is 
on a medium level laptop, not huge memory, and I have LOTS of tabs 
open plus several word docs and eudora email. FF is by far the 
biggest memory user, though.
