I was advised by MelbourneIT a couple of months back that this is a scam...

I have had several emails from Asian internet registrars similar to 
the one you posted earlier (that I have since deleted) wanting to 
know if a particular person or company was an employee or partner in 
order to assign domain name rights and 'internet keyword' rights to 
databasics.

I contacted Melbourne IT as I wanted to register databasics.asia and 
point it to our databasics.com.au account.  When I asked about the 
internet keyword thingy they said to ignore all such emails as they 
were just trying it on. Besides, to register databasics.com.cn or 
some such, you need an address in that country...
