Its time to write to your federal member and ask him.

Why arnt there easy to understand federal accounts that tax-payers can
download in a spreadsheet format ?

An excellent question. Obviously Sarbanes Oxley transparent Governance
has not yet got to our legislators yet.

The answer Sylvano, can be found in those wonderfiul "Ye Minister"
episodes from long ago...... But of course Minister, if we provided
consolidated accounts then everyone would see where we spent the money.
That's why each department has its own format which doesn't match any
other departments format so no-one can work out what we are actually
doing with the money".

from one location with all the info for all departments.
