In one sentence? I could not begin to try, because OS designers have now
decided that the OS should respond to "hovering", rather than clicking
or double-clicking. Now, my position is simple: if there's no *utterly
necessary* reason to make a radical change a UI, then you don't do it,
because however "nice" the feature is, and however much it will get
praised in the echo-chamber that makes up most reviewing communities,
it's going to be a pain for the users.
When designers start moving the furniture for no reason except their own
boredom ... ugh!
