I recently looked into going naked .. apparently you need an active service
on the line first, which would then be disconnected when the ADSL is
provisioned. Thus, if you are moving into premises you'd have to pay telstra
for connection, plus month or two in advance, then get the naked adsl, then
disconnect the telstra voice line.

What a rort.
