Excellent. And damn you, I went over to the TEDTalksDirector area
on YouTube and am now watching talk after talk. TOO MUCH INPUT!

Regarding "The Next 5000 Days", I was a bit sceptical about how
Kevin Kelly was anthropomorphising computing and the Web in particular
at the start of his talk. And bingo! Once it became clear that the
future of the Web is we humans being interconnected, his predictions
suddenly made sense.

Some may conclude that this comes at a cost: total transparency is
required for total connectedness. But it only takes humans one generation
to drop old outdated concepts like security and privacy and replace
them with total openness and a hive mentality. Is this a good thing?
Whether or not it is, that is the direction in which the digital age
is pushing us, or pulling us.

There is so much to research and read more about after this talk.
I'm looking at the semantic web, RDF and OWL today.

cheers
