   After first creating a project using K3B, I suggest going to the "Properties" menu.  The "Filesystem" tab should have "Generate Rock Ridge extensions" and "Generate Joliet extensions" ticked, and the "Advanced" tab should have "Generate 103 character Joliet filenames" ticked.
