No, I was objecting to a third party web site taking content from ANU
and putting ads on it.
But now you come to mention it, perhaps a viable business model for
higher education in Australia is to give away the courses and just
charge for the parking and web advertising. Campuses are already
starting to look like real estate developments, with apartments for
students and shopping malls. ;-)
More seriously, both MIT and Stanford offer free course material
online

But their business model is that these are just teasers, not proper
e-learning. The average student will still have to attend the campus
and in any case you still have to pay for the assessment.
