But that omits the distribution, where electrical losses are 30%.
So the losses from origin to use are a lot higher than 80% for
electric vehicles.

In any case, that the differences are small enough to be debatable
is a strong hint that electric vehicles won't be up to the task of
getting CO2 emissions down to 10% of current levels.

The simplest way of doing that is to put 10 people into a vehicle
where we current put 1 person. That is, mass public transport.
