FYI: I haven't received this yet but the current issue of IEEE Micro
Magazine Magazine (
http://www2.computer.org/portal/web/csdl/abs/mags/mi/2009/02/mmi200902toc.htm)
raises the building of broadband as economic stimulus in (I assume) the US
context.  Any link readers with access to an e-subscription should be able
to read this now (I can't as I prefer e-subscription to replace paper).
