Linkers are aware that for some time Chris Gilbey and I have been
collecting statistics about P2P. A number of times over the last few
months, I have been close to completing a report about P2P that we were
then going to release to the world.

Every-time I got close to releasing the report - a new fact would turn
up - that unfortunately required additonal questions to be researched
and answered.
Slowly we discovered that the content industry has not been harmed by
P2P at all. However we did come to another conclusion. So here it is -
The culmination of five years data collection/collation, 8 months of
report writing:

ACTA - the Number of the Beast or 1984.

Before I start today, I need to disclaim any religious bias. I will
admit to being a science fiction fan, but references to sci-fi are for
comparative understanding purposes only.

Todays editorial is only for people that have read George Orwells Book,
1984 <http://www.george-orwell.org/1984/index.html> .
Or are familiar with Revelations Chapter 13.

If you haven't - please don't read any further until you understand the
concepts behind the terminology of - Newspeak, thoughtpolice,
doublethink or 666.

Magicians often employ the ploy of distraction - watch the hand.. This
hand.. I am waving this hand in the air so you will watch this hand...

P2P is a distraction.

And yes - we will release the report - but it all seems a bit pointless.
It's a bit like the full stop at the end of the sentence.
