Microsoft's has a two-fold problem.
Firstly, they are large and cashed up. This attracts all sorts of people looking for
a main chance. The US patent system is broken, and that's the current way used by those
people.
Secondly, the US patent system is broken for software partly because Microsoft
sees a competitive advantage in the current situation.
I think we can all enjoy the irony of point #2 whilst commiserating with them
about point #1.
