The phone number the bank kept ringing was also structured data residing 
in a table with defined and stable column and row descriptors. The 
problem was that it was the wrong number. The relationship between the 
client and his phone number was broken. It is the relationship between 
data and reality that needs careful managing.

I'll go away now and read the article you referenced. Thank you for the 
pointer.
