'infringement' is such a lovely, passive word...
There are many things in life that are 'infringements', yet to
'infringe' seems almost inconsequential.
Unlike 'piracy', which is an emotive term, and deservedly debatable in
this context. 'Theft', on the other hand, is clear and unambiguous to
most people.
What is interesting is that there are parallel universes: one in which
'pirating' is a bad and evil thing, involving extortion on the high
seas and mostly involving things of considerable value bailed up by a
few, whereas in the digital world/parallel universe, it's a case of
extortion of something of almost no real value, but by many.
