[LINK] E-books: a quick calculation

Because I'm sick of hearing unsubstantiated "e-books are greener than
dead trees" claims, I've run up a quick, non-rigorous calculation at my
otherwise nearly-idle blog, here:

There is an advantage - but probably only a small one, and highly
dependent on stuff I didn't take into account.

It's feasible that there's no advantage to e-books at all - even
excluding the question of other kinds of environmental damage, such as
toxic metals in the waste stream.
