The problem is that the radio information reports are too general and sometimes
just hearsay. Very specific information is needed such as how many/kinds of
people are in the area and what facilities are available etc and then
instructions can be given to them as to what they should do.
...and we must not forget that some of these fires were deliberately lit -
apparently lightening only accounts for 1% of fires.
