Actually no. The article you quoted was long on emotive content and
extremely short on facts about how these unfortunate people were

So the flames were travelling at 600 km per hour were they? Hmm.

What? So they *were* surrounded by bush, but there was some distance
from the bush to the house? And what is "significant"? 10 metres? 20
metres? 100 metres?
I'm not being cynical about this death, but stories like the one quoted
make me angry. Angry that they substitute emotional codswallop for
actual facts, and doubly angry at the subtext that "no amount of
preparation would have saved them".
I suspect we will find out eventually that the Naylors were caught
outside the house, or that the house was still open when the fire hit or
that the house was not protected inside from radiant heat.
