It depends. I might want them to only see information for a limited 
time. Do the indexers like google that cache a copy do a disservice? 
Do info users realise that as a problem? What is the expiry date? How 
is that communicated? Is there a need for a metadata field that is searchable?

I don't think it's simply a matter of 'it's out there in the 
'public', so go index it'.
