This is what caused the flub during Obama's oath.

"...shall faithfully execute..." is the designated phrase and 
Roberts' grammar sense just wouldn't let him say it that way. There 
was an article in the NYTimes that said the 'rule' against the split 
infinitive was a myth anyway, but who knows.
