I don't dispute anything you wrote and I think you are agreeing with my 
contention that things worked quite well with a single vendor outsourcer 
across infrastructure and applications.

However problems have arisen in the recent past (ie one year) when they 
fragmented their IT support and then made major changes to Netbank. And 
I don't think the problem lies with the Netbank -Mainframe 
infrastructure. It is more likely to do with application to application 
interface issues.

I also agree that it's not a disaster in the sense of having to invoke 
DR procedures. However, it is a major PR problem.

IMHO the root causes are 1) difficulties managing across multiple 
vendors and 2) corporate knowledge being sold to outsourcers.
