MAY 2009 U.S. SEARCH SHARE RANKINGS
http://blog.nielsen.com/nielsenwire/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/may-search-release-616.pdf
The estimated total U.S. searches for May 2009 was 9.4 billion, an
increase of 20.3 percent from the 7.8 billion searches in May 2008, with
Google having 63.2% share of the May 2009 searches.
Also, there are a couple of tables on estimates of the unique audiences
and time per person for main companies and brand web sites. While the
cluster of Yahoo brand sites have a lower unique audience estimate to
Google, it's certainly comparable and the users seem to spend more than
twice the amount of time with Yahoo than Google branded sites.
Brand Unique Audience Time Per Person
(000's) (hh:mm:ss)
1. Google 131,257 1:17:04
2. Yahoo! 118,949 3:14:28
