[LINK] google maps flaking out

Google maps is behaving very badly now. It points to another place, 
gstatic.com, and even then doesn't load for me, even when I enable 
the various scripts. I found whereis.com, a Telstra product, which is 
somwhat ok, but has also changed their approach. In fact the first 
site said it was closing, here's the new one.

Do linkers use any other functional street directory websites that 
aren't these two?
