Only when the other identifiers are able to make you unique, though  
looking behind the scenes, if Optus treat each one differently  
(discounts for Bishops, perhaps?) then it makes sense.

What *I* object to on the form is an alternate address. I've got  
alternative addresses, but not an alternating one.
